UEFA Regions Cup 2009

The draw for the Finals of the 2009 UEFA Regions Cup was made in Toplice on Thursday 23 April 2009. The Finals will be hosted by Croatia and will commence on Monday 15 June 2009 with the final scheduled for Zagreb on Monday 22 June 2009. Manager Gerry Smith has named his twenty man squad for the Finals and they will set out for Zagreb on the morning of Saturday 13 June 2009.

19.15 UEFA Regions Cup Final


Ireland qualified for the 2009 Finals of the bi-annual UEFA Regions Cup from a very daunting Group 2 where they faced England, Scotland and Italy who hosted the Group, with the qualifying games taking place during October 2008.

The Republic of Ireland Amateur team is selected from Junior and Intermediate Clubs competing in the various Leagues across the country.
