DDSL defeat Kerry in Umbro Kennedy Cup Final...13/06/2008
Today's final of the Umbro Kennedy Cup was won by the holders DDSL with a one nil victory against the Kerry League. In the third place play-off , the Cork League scored a three one success over the Kildare League.

The supporting finals of the Umbro Kennedy Cup took place at the University of Limerick today. In the Kennedy Plate Final, the Waterford League scored a comfortable three nil over the Limerick County League. The Kennedy Bowl Final ended with a penalty shoot out victory for the Wexford League against the Mayo League while the Kennedy Shield Final was also decided by a penalty shoot out with the Sligo/Leitrim League defeating the South Dublin League after a two all draw. The Kennedy Trophy Final was also decided by a penalty shoot out with the Cavan League defeating the Inishowen League following a scoreless draw.

 Trapattoni reaches end of First Term...02/06/2008
Manager Giovanni Trapattoni has completed the first stage of his voyage with the Republic of Ireland senior international team. The absence of several front line players has somewhat limited the first term review process, however the general consensus, following the fixtures against Serbia and Colombia, appears to be one of cautious optimism. The trip to Oslo to face Norway on Wednesday 20 August, swiftly followed by the opening World Cup qualifiers in Georgia and Montenegro will provide a more accurate picture of the waters ahead.
