Ireland Amateurs qualify for UEFA Regions Cup Finals

The
Republic of Ireland amateur side, managed by Gerry Smith, qualified for the finals of the UEFA Regions Cup following a five one victory over old rivals Scotland this afternoon. The other Group match involving hosts Italy and England ended scoreless and Ireland top the Group on goal difference. Hat trick hero for Ireland was Tolka Rovers striker Dean Kelly while Daniel Loughran and the perenniel Ray Whelehan added the other goals.


RISSC (London) cruise to first round cup victory...26/10/2008
a four goal salvo from the in form Mick Dunford underpinned a comfortable seven one first round Dave Baister Cup victory for RISSC (London) against second division Blackburn Rovers SC at the LPR Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon. Despite filling in at centre back, Chris Coleman retained his goalscoring instincts with the opening goal. PJ Meehan struck a twenty five yard screamer and the returning Fintan McKeown also got on the scoresheet.


RISSC (London) continue winning run...20/10/2008
Two goals from both Chris Coleman and Mick Dunford helped secure a four two APFSCIL First Division victory for RISSC (London) over London Scottish SC at the LPR Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon. With league leaders Middlesbrough SC being held to a draw, RISSC have now closed the gap at the top to one point.


RISSC tune too sweet for high flying 'Canaries'...12/10/2008
Buoyed by their APFSCIL League victory over old rivals Glasgow Rangers SC last time out, the RISSC football team travelled to Chiswick this afternoon where they faced high flying Norwich City SC. The Irish boys were again very much on song and recovered from an early 1-2 deficit, to equalise before the break and then fire four unanswered second half goals in a thrilling display.
