The draw was made today in Nyon, Switzerland for the opening rounds of the UEFA Intertoto Cup competition.

Ireland’s representatives Bohemians have been drawn against an as yet unidentified Belgian team with the two legs taking place on the 18th and 25th June 2005. The winners of this opening tie will meet the successful side from a Belarus and Czech Republic pairing.

It may be remembered that Cork City bravely flew the flag for Ireland in last year’s competition by knocking out Malmo of Sweden and NEC Nijmegen of Holland before succumbing to French representatives, Nantes.
