In Group 1 of the Setanta Cup, Stephen Paisley, the Republic of Ireland U21 international popped up in the 88 minute to secure all 3 points for Longford Town against Glentoran at home in Flancare Park.
In Group 2, Shelbourne travelled north to Shamrock Park in Portadown, and claimed a much need victory. Jason Byrne netted as early as the 3rd minute and they held out for a victory.
