Republic of Ireland 'A' 0-0 Northern Ireland 'A'

Republic of Ireland A team The second encounter between the two Ireland sides produced a scoreless draw. The game was again played with an intensity born of local rivalry and, to a large extent, both sides cancelled each other out.

A number of half chances did present themselves but both sets of players were profligate with their shooting. The best chances for the Republic of Ireland side, coached by Niall Harrison, fell to Michael Rafter and captain Robbie Brady of St Kevin's Boys, but neither player could find the target. In what was a slightly disappointing encounter, a draw was probably a fair result.
