St. Kevin's Boys Club won the Ryan Cup on penalties today. In what was a similar fashion to the FA Cup final in Cardiff, the youths battled against Belvedere in a hard fought game which went to extra time.

The score was even at the end of the regulation 60 minutes and the deadlock remained unbroken at 0-0 after a further 10 minutes each way. So penalties ensued.

St Kevin's went behind early in the shoot-out but Belvedere also missed in the regulation 5 penalties, leaving the score tied 4-4. So to sudden death in the penalty shoot out. With Belvedere up first and missing, the pressure was on the penatly taker from St. Kevin's and he scored to see his team to lift the cup.
