17 Women succumb to Switzerland...31/10/2006 A young Ireland team, managed by Noel King, was defeated by a powerful Switzerland at Whitehall tonight. Ireland conceded two goals in the opening seventeen minutes but managed to regroup and put in a determined performance thereafter. A penalty, converted by Emily Hanney on the stroke of half time, reduced arrears but the Irish girls were unable to score the equaliser.
